Many of us in the recent purchase thread starting talking about our fish tanks so I thought it would be cool to gather them all in one thread!

I will start off. I currently just have a 20G African Cichlid tank with 3 Apistos and 4 tetras. Thinking about changing to sand this weekend and getting a bunch of rocks to put in there as well.

This was my 6x2x2 tank, but I sold it a few months ago.

It had 9 discus, five clown loaches and 15 neon tetras all living in (relative) harmony.

Well, everyone in mine died so I'm starting again from scratch :(

I'm going to the pet store tomorrow to get a new base for my tank. I noticed the gravel I bought has the coloring chipping off. Not good.

I'll post pics once I start cycling it.

I love seeing all these saltwater setups! One day I would love to do that. First I want to set up my 55G this summer.

For the time being I just noticed one of my fish has a worm infection that isn't easy to rid, so i am desperately looking to find meds to treat this as I don't to lose this guy!

Here's my 20 gallon I just set up not too long ago.

I think I have abut a dozen species of plants in there. A male betta, a couple of neon tetras, a snail, cory cat, a pleco, and an african dwarf frog.

My dream tank would be something like 3'x3'x1.25'.

Some older pics to start with...I'm due to take some more. The tank is a 600 litre Saltwater Reef.

The toilet and sink is a little much, but I agree about the coffee table. I think the first time I saw it was in a sky mall magazine. I wouldn't mind one if it was classy and easy to clean and care for. I imagine it's much better quality glass than your normal aquarium.

Tank is a Rena 600litre Marine Reef. My neighbor and I converted it to marine, and it's really coming on. These are pictures of when we first started.

Probably either thicker glass or more likely acrylic just because there is more pressure from the top than you would see on a normal tank.

90 Reef

Here was my 90 gallon a year ago. Unfortunately I was in Germany for two months and sold off most of the Corals and rock before I left. I am slowly rebuilding now that I am situated again!

That's a nice reef, and nice lighting too. I will try to get some more up to date shots of my neighbours tank tomorrow....It's got lots more in it now.

Carpet anenomaes, mushrooms, polyps brain coral, and lots more fish!

I ask because I honestly have no idea, but what kind of regular maintainence is there for a saltwater set up, beyond what is needed for fresh water? I have talked to people and they say that salt water must be checked regularly because all of that stuff is very sensitive.

I just do a 5 gallon water change every week-week and a half. Top off fresh water every day.

Besides that, I do nothing. No water tests or anything. Been going strong since March 2011
