I dropped my iPad and crunched the corner of the case and broke the screen. Fortunately, it works fine. Apple said I could get a replacement for $249. It's the bottom end model (16GB, WiFi only). I'm almost positive I'll get the iPad3 when it comes out. Could I get much more than $249 for my replacement once the iPad3 comes out?

Thanks for any advice,
Curt

Well... launch of ipad 3 seems very imminent at this point. So, people are aware of this and will be very unwilling to buy them.

Will you be able to sell iPad 2 for more than 250? Yes. Some people will be able to sell them for around 300-350 dollars before apple announces iPad 3 in late Feb or early March.

The problem is that I won't want to sell it until I have the new iPad3 in hand. That will take the price down I'm sure.

Right now a cracked ipad 2 goes from $350. An uncracked ipad 2 will go for $425. After the ipad 3 comes out, i figure the cracked ipad 2 will be around $250-300. The uncracked ipad 2 will be around $350.

Definitely fix it for $250. Even 16 GB iPad 1's still go for $275 to $300. Even after the Apple launch you should hopefully be able to sell it for $325 to $350. It still sucks, but you should be able to get almost a $100 out of it still.

For $100 you have to spend the time to get it fixed, sell it, then ship it. If you can afford it, if I was you - I would def get it fixed bc you put in all the effort to get it fixed, you should keep it as an extra one to leave either at work or keep in bedroom/office.
