Not really.

I tried my local area code and all of the nearby stores showed March 13th availability.

I think its more than a little interesting that it is a uniform availability date at 3 of the largest malls in the country (Mall of America, Houston's Galleria, and Park Meadows).

The ATV3 has been rumored to be imminently available. Does that mean Wednesday? Next Monday? The second Tim Cook says "Apple TV"? I believe this is a pretty good indicator for Friday.

Just my $0.02. After all, this is Macrumors.

Why has there been no leaks of the ATV3 like it has for the ipad 3

I would be disappointed if there's nothing on wed

The Apple TV doesn't really have any part that would make it "recognizable", like a LCD screen or anything like that, the case would be the only "unique" part, everything else are just the same components as other iDevices.

Yea but if they will be ready as soon as march 9 , they must have them everywhere from shipping facilities or factories

Not one peep about it

Leaks usually don't come form shipping, they come from Supplies, this is why. Shipping boxes for Apple usually looks all the same, they are not marked (so most of the time, they don;t even know those are Apple's good in there), and believe or not, they don't "peep" a broken seal on those shipments mean a lot of money on claims, no to mentioned those shipper handel hundres and hundres of boxes a day, all from big electronics manufactures at the same time, Dell, MS, Sony, etc.

How much talk was there about the original iPhone before it was presented?

I dont know my first iphone was the 3g

It was more of a rhetorical question to be honest. There are more "proof" of the ATV3 being presented tomorrow than there was of the iPhone being presented in 2007.

The original iPhone was announced many months before it was available for shipping. Apple had to do that because they had to apply to the FCC for approval, which would have made it impossible to keep under wraps. Therefore, Apple announced it before anyone was getting ready to ship (and probably before manufacturing even began).

I don't think you can use iPhone historical data and apply it to the ATV3. The situations are just too different.
