Difficult job ! Those are just my short opinions, my feelings translated in words when looking at images. (And... sorry for being late...:)

First. Wood as a living material. I think the quality of the picture as well a the choice of the subject illustrate almost perfectly the theme.

Second. This picture shows well what a wooden building becomes when transformed by time passing.

Third. In my opinion this picture shows an interesting patern. The upper knot is a bit distracting, though.

More comments :

Interesting picture, but it illustrates more text than wood.

Would gain intensity if the colors where more saturated. Could show contrast between wood and iron (the nail.

Cool, but doesn't say "wood".

Like this barn. The one from coryndiego is more "dramatic"

Interesting picture. A lot more than wood in it though

Matt Williams

Nice sunset, but wood is secondary

Nice !

Playing wood

I think this picture deserves the third place.

Nice wood patern.

Just a little bark action...

Will not comment on this one.

In my experience, it's very difficult to show the greatness of trees.

A good one.

Nice wood patern. In not sure it's the best point of view to show it.

First post, new hobby. Go easy?!

Nice try. And welcome to the contest.

First attempt

Again, the picture is cool, but doesn't scream "wood"

Haha, dovetail joints. I'm still trying....

Nice patern. A bit unsettling at first glance.

Another first time sharer/entrant.

Interseting picture, lot's of wood. Be careful when cropping !
