Hi I have just bought a power book G4 of eBay and it has no disks, wheres the best place to get a retail copy of leopard, eBay seems very expensive to buy disks from.

eBay would be the best place. You can check craigslist and hope for a local cheap one as well.

Depending on the year of release of that PowerBook G4 you will only get Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger and earlier.

Yup. No Powerbook shipped with Leopard. It may still be possible to purchase Leopard from Apple, though. It's not listed on their website, but call and ask. It'll be more than the machine specific disk package--About $125USD if I'm not mistaken.

Are you saying that Apple gave you a free "Retail version" of Leopard, or did you actually receive a computer specific Leopard install disc?
