I am using Pages '09, I created a template and have decided to delete it because I need to totally redesign it.

Can someone tell me how to delete the darn thing?

I searched the help menu, tells me how to save one, make changes etc, but nothing about deleting it.

Thanks so much.

How do I delete a template under Pages?: Apple Support Communities

Also, you may have better success in attracting responses to your thread, and you'll make your thread easier to find for those browsing the forum for the same answers, if you change your thread title to something more descriptive. To do so, click the "Edit" button on your original post, then click "Go Advanced" and you will see where to edit the thread title.

Here is the key if you are using Lion.

If you are running Lion, the user's library folder is hidden.
From the Finder, open the menu "Go to" with the option key depressed to be able to trigger the Library folder.

Worked like a charm!

None of that worked. I went into finder>library>app support> but there was no iWork or Pages there.

In the process of trying to follow the steps that simsaladimbamba provided, I created yet another template.

Very very frustrating!!!!!! Nothing should be this hard, almost making me wish I never went to Mac!
Did you go to /Library/Application Support or
Did you go to /Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support ?

On the Finder menu bar, click on Go, then press and hold Option key, click on Library.

Basically doing this shows the hidden files.

From there I clicked on Application Support, iWork, Pages, Templates, My Templates.

All your templates will show, highlight and move to trash.

The folder where Pages '09 keeps user-created templates is not easy to find. Here's how I managed it:

Open any Pages '09 file on your machine.
Click File | Save as Template (Don't worry. We're not actually going to do it.)

Pages will open a separate window that shows the following nested folders: Pages\Templates\My Templates\<template file names greyed out>

Control-click on the greyed-out name of the template you want to delete.
An options window will open, with a choice to Move to Trash.
Click that choice and your unwanted template is gone.

Finally, close the Save as Template window without saving the file that opened it in the first place.

Simple Way to Delete a Template in Pages

Nothing worked for me until I figured this out!

— Go File, 'New.'
—When the floating palette appears click 'Templates' in the lefthand column.
—When templates appear, hold 'control' key down on your keyboard.
—Click the template to kill.
—A 2-choice menu appears: rename, delete.
—Click 'delete' and it disappears automatically.

It's really fast and simple, no libraries to find or any of the hard things people recommend elsewhere.
(Pages version 5.5.2)
