Thought I'd share my latest short film "Isobel & The Witch Queen" shot entirely with the iPhone 4S. I couldn't do any of the post/visual fx that I had initially planned on because my [late 2008 MBP] could barely handle the simplest of edits using Final Cut Pro X.

Also, with a zero budget (we had to make our own dolly tracks out of track lighting we found in an attic), it was hard to get any sort of production value out of the thing, but I tried... I was fortunate enough though to have this world premier at Macworld this past weekend on two big screens in front of a couple hundred people; got pretty good feedback considering the limited resources.

no worries, man! there are boston specific references in it so that will obviously not play to everyone. i'm may do another one that will hopefully flesh out the subject matter a little bit more, but still, probably not much of a plot!

here's another video i did for a new company called mynextgig. this one definitely has a plot, salacious!

here's the video:

well that video was better, bit cheesy acting and some dodgy lighting on a few shots, it was good, it seems like your vids are suited mostly for commercials am i right?

the clouds were all over the place the day we shot so that's why the lighting gets a bit funky. and we were going for cheesy on this one.

i wouldn't say i'm suited for one medium or another. these recent videos i just happen to have made myself, but i've worked on a number of different projects. thanks for watching!

Wounded - A Short Film

This is a short film of mine.
A friend of mine criticised it for being forgettable, developing character through exposition and for having an unsympathetic protagonist. However, it was a first effort and I will take these criticisms into account when I make my next short film.

More of an ultra-short. Many times people buy new gear and then go shoot random things to try it out. In this case the inspiration was a new lens. We wanted to try out some low-light stuff but also used it as an opportunity to quickly generate a story and put it into action. More interesting than some static disconnected low light shots and it also worked the creative process. It's not perfect but it met our expectations.

This was beautifully done! I don't know why someone would have down-voted it, but I just gave it a thumbs up. Really great work!

Probably because it's in German, but it does have English subtitles. I agree the short film was very good and really shows us how we grow up so fast and before you know it you are not having fun anymore and then you die.

Stop Motion Horror/Ghost Story

Here is my first attempt at telling a story with stop-motion animation. It's a horror/ghost story shot entirely on the iPhone 4S.

Make sure to keep watching until after the end credits... also, it's best heard with a good pair of headphones or good speakers (the sound design and score are an important part of setting the atmosphere for this short film.)
