I got kind of a stupid question, but does geek tool slows down your computer or is it harmful in anyway??? I was thinking about installing it and making a desktop, but was just worried it might be harmful.

Geektool runs via Unix commands. Things like date and time are simple strings that just grab the information from the OS. As long as you don't download any strange scripts and tell Geektool to run them, you'll be fine. Plus, playing with it is tons of fun!

Updated mine a while back. Changed to a side bar for most of the data, I quite like it.

The weather stuff (images, conditions, and forecast) is from my Ultimate Weather script. It's currently in beta, and there is a download for everyone at my google code site (check my signature).
