I am trying to make a airport express/apple tv multimedia center and am looking for advice on how to set this up. I want to connect the following:
1) TV
2) my turntable
3) my computer- to listen to music
to a set of speakers. I am not an audiophile so I just need to connect things to everything.
I can think of 2 solutions-
1) Get an Apple TV and connect it and the turntable to the TV using a phono preamp and buy speakers for the TV. The disadvantage is the tv would be on whenever I want to listen to music and I would have to turn the tv on every single time I want to listen to music.
2) Use my airport express to stream the music to the airport express speakers and then somehow get a receiver or something that can connect to the TV/turntable to the airport express.
