This just happend today I can't hear the caller or the receiver. Can hear using the speaker phone or ear phone. Is there any fix for this. I have seen the same complaint from others. If anybody knows any fix please post it. If I go to the mac shop would they able to repair?
Thanks

I have this same problem on an iPhone 4

The caller on the other side can't hear my voice, I can hear them fine

And voice recording apps work find , so the mic is good

There's a YouTube fix that tells u to open the iPhone & put a piece of paper inside

That did not work for me

I did 2 restores and upgraded. To the newest firmware

I'm out of warranty

So there's no way I'll get a refurb for free ?

after opening it up and putting in a piece of paper... I wouldn't hold my breath.

Unless it was put back together poorly, I don't think Apple has a very good way to tell it was ever taken apart. Rather, there is no way to tell externally, and that is about as far as any "Genius" I have ever met goes.

perhaps there's still a piece of paper in there?

IMO anyone who thinks that a piece of paper in an electronic device is going to magically fix the blatent hardware issue may also be the kind of person who may just leave the paper in there :)
