8gb Black Gen2 Nano. It was awesome!!!! It was rugged as h311 with an Agent18 case on it. It went to the DR once, Cancun twice, Paris once and Budapest once. If it came as a 32gb, I'd still be using it!!!! One of my best investments ever.....

Bought a 20 GB 4th Generation in November 2004, my first Apple product ever. Sold it to my buddy in December 2005 when I won a 5th Generation. He used it all the way until 2010 when, unfortunately, it was stolen out of his car.. I still wonder how long it would have lasted for...

Texas, unfortunately.
Mine was a 4G 20 GB iPod in 2004 as a Christmas gift. I loved that thing to death, but my careless 12 year old self pretty much killed it within three months, what with leaving it on the wall charger for three days straight, dropping it on concrete/asphalt countless times... I miss it. Wish I'd had the sense to take better care of it, hindsight sucks. ;)

Mine was an iPod 4th gen white 20gb I bought in 2004. Loved it! :D The following year I got a 2gb black nano, which was recently swapped by Apple for an 8gb 6G nano. I think I paid $399 for that 20gb! I sold it to a friend after a couple of years and he used it for quite a long time. Those things were tanks!

A first generation 2GB white nano around mid 2006, my first ever apple product and loved it. Bought it after going through several cheap mp3 players, the ones that ran off AAA batteries.
iPod lasted about 3 months, lent it to my girlfriend who forget to take it out of her pocket before putting her jeans in the washing machine.

My first own iPod was the 5G iPod in Black, 30GB. Often referred to as the iPod Video.

I must say that in my opinion, this is the best-looking iPod ever produced.

However, the chrome rear and piano-black front was honestly impossible to keep nice, even though I'm extremely careful with my stuff. I still have it, as well as the original packaging. I had imagined I would be using it for my car which I will be buying this summer, leaving it placed in the glove compartment, connected to the stereo. However, I wonder if I am not going to use Spotify on my iPhone instead. Truth be told, I have not used iTunes for music since two, three years ago, sort of why the old iPods are unfortunately quite... dead to me.

After purchasing the iPod 5G 30GB, I also acquired the following:

- 2G iPod 15GB (I believe)
- 2G iPod Nano (Silver)
- 1G iPod Mini
- 1G iPod Touch 16GB - Sold it in 2009 for my iPhone 3GS.

However, the iPhone together with Spotify revolutionized how I listen to music. Having access to almost all music in the world, available in the cloud is quite amazing. iTunes syncing was no longer needed. All of which has made me wonder whether I will actually ever use my iPods again. :/

Then i bought an iPod touch 4g 32gb in september 2010. Kinda crazy i bought 2 iPods in the same year but hey i had no choice especially since the iPod touch 2g had limited features in iOS 4. you couldn't multitask and you couldn't change your wallpaper.

There is this thing called 'Jailbreaking' my friend. Marvelous stuff ;)

----------

My first ever (after an MP4 thing from China) was an 8GB iPod Nano 4g. I bought it in 2009 I believe, for $200 or so.

It still works today (most of the time), except it no longer holds my music library in full xD

I now use an iPod To:Duch 4G (bought in 2010, month after release. hehe). THAT thing is friggin awesome. Especially after I jailbreak it a month or so ago :D

Boy, I had good times with that thing. I miss the click wheel. Too bad Apple got rid of it.

Still working...

Got a 15gb with the scroll wheel and buttons in 2003. It was such an awesome feeling to walk to classes with it instead of carrying around the old cd player. Still works, though the battery life isn't stellar. My best overall would be a silver 4gb nano from 06. It gives me a good 12-15 hours of playtime despite heavy use.
