Hey does this machine really fall outside of the specs to stream to AppleTV 2? I have an i7 in this machine and figure it should scream through the encoding process. Anyone running the WWDC build and this machine and able to test it out for me?

Ok well the more important thing then, is will QT streaming work, just no the desktop streaming?

Oh I already have an app like that, what I want to do is to be able to stream video to my apple tv in the other room without having to convert everything to mp4.

AirFlick re encodes files in real time when needed.

You could also give Subler a try when you have mkv(h264) files, it remuxes them into mp4 in Seconds.
