To make a long story short, I just swapped out a clamshell iBook logicboard with succes. Everything works fine except the battery: it won't charge.

When turned off or sleeping, the glowing light is orange (indicating charge) but the battery doesn't charge. When awoken, the glowing light is green although the battery is empty. It's using OS 10.3.

Of note, it doesn't sleep when it's closed.

I've searched the forums. Zilch. I've tried reseting the Power Managment Unit per Apple's intructions. Zilch again.

I fear the battery may be dead, but it did work briefly the day following the logicboard switch.

So, what is it : fried power management board? dead battery? I'm missing something? Any help/advice would be really appreciated :)

How long did the battery usually last before it stopped working?

Good question! I don't know: it's not my computer. ;)

The thing is, I can't even get half a second in or out of it :(
