I use my gen1 MBA for copy editing and for classes. I use the apple wireless keyboard and a Logitech Bluetooth mouse. In it's "docked" configuration I have it hooked up to a dell 24" monitor via the analog adapter.

Here is an old picture, my desk is too messy at the moment for a newer one.

1) I just bought a 2012 13in MBA (1.8 i5/8GB/256GB).

2) I bought an Apple wired keyboard and magic trackpad. I also plan on getting a non Apple mouse eventually. I will soon be adding a TBD to the setup with the MBA in clamshell mode while at my desk.

3) I will be taking my MBA to college daily so it will be put in a STM Revolution (small) backpack (i've been using the same one since sophomore year of high school.

The MBA is not my only computer (but could possibly be my main computer). I also have a self built windows desktop and an old MBP 13in from 2008(?).

I'll update with pictures when I get my TBD and get around to taking pictures.

I have a 2011 1.6ghz/4gb/128gb 11" and it's perfect for the job I need it to do

2. My main home computer is the iMac 27 hooked up to a spare Arcam A80 amp, Dacmagic and Monitor Audio BX1s for a bit of music in the office when I can't use the living room!

3. I have the Joli sleeve (in the photo) and also the Tumi messenger bag which is the perfect fit for the 11" MBA and exceptional quality as you'd expect from a Tumi bag.

In front of my Mac
1) 2012 11" Ultimate

2) Backup laptop in case something happens to my MacBook Pro (which is my main computer). I keep my Pro upstairs on my desk and I can carry the Air around the house so it has its uses there. I also use it when watching TV so I can browse the net at the same time and I will be carrying it around university.

3) I have a case that I can carry around on my shoulder but I can also put the case into a messenger bag and carry it around with other stuff.

Just to keep this thread alive then. ;)

1. MBA 2012 13" with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB SSD.

2. It is my main computer and no, I do not use it with external monitor or anything else.

3. No sleeve, skin or case of any kind. I only use it at home, so I haven't felt any need for this kind of protection.

2. It's my main laptop - I have an iMac at home, so this is what I use when I'm out and about.

3. Viper sleeve + ScreenSavrz + matte screen cover

1. MBA 2012 13 inch 256 SSD and 8 gig RAM with i5 processor.
2. mStand.

Recently bought an (2011) iMac so use my MBA mostly for travelling and recording music now. Before used it as my main computer with a 27'' DELL monitor (which I sold).

At Home use a external 25" monitor with apple keyboard and magic mouse.

no case, just a keyboard cover from kbcovers.com and a screensavrz from radtech.

My primary computer and I love it. Although I do wish I opt for the 15" rMBP a few times around..

What's your setup consist of?

1. Which MacBook Air do you have?

2. Is the Air your main computer? Do you use it along with an external monitor, another computer(s), iPad or ?

3. Use a sleeve, skin, speck case? What kind of bag or backpack have you found suitable for the Air's?

Photo's WELCOME!
1. MBA 13" 2012, i5, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD.

2. Yes. This is my main computer. I use it every day. I do have an iPad (mainly for emails, web browsing, reading, UI sketching, development planning). I do have an external monitor, though I do not have a docking solution I want for my MBA.

3. I have the STM Small Shoulder Bag. It has an awesome side access for your computer. Opening the messaging bag has a slot for a tablet (my iPad), also plenty of room for notebooks / books if needed. I mainly use it for clothes (workout clothes to change). Amazing side pockets for water bottles. Inside the bag you have pockets and on the other side there are more pockets. I bought a small bag to organize my power cables and it fits in the pockets. Then I also have a cable set of mini display port to HDMI and HDMI in another pocket to connect to external HDMI solutions (like my monitor). I also then have a Thunderbolt to Ethernet and an ethernet cord in another pocket (never know when you will need that as connecting to servers is important for me). Then beyond that is another pocket to unzip where I keep pens, pencils, cleaning solution (for my MBA screen, iPhone and iPad), as infront of that pocket there is another zipper I keep a microfiber clothe. Then at the top of the bag there is another zipper for keeping my external HDD.

The main reason I love the bag is because I can swing it around and unzip the side pocket to get to my MBA quickly without completely opening the clips. If I open the clips I can quickly get to my power cords (both Mac and iOS devices), my ethernet solution and my external display solution. It's about being quick and containing what I need.

Let's make sure we get out and about but let's also get it done in a reasonable time frame because there is no place like home. :D

2 x iMac 27 Core i7 3.4Ghz with 32GB of Ram and 2TB Internal Disk Drives
3 x External Firewire 800 6TB WD MyBook Duo Drives
'12 MacBook Air 2.0Ghz Core i7 with 8Gb Ram and 512GB SSD
4th Gen iPad for Streaming News and when I need to have a e_doc opened while performing certain tasks.

Everything is backed up to twin 4TB NAS' on Gig-E

I manage my clients' virtual infrastructure environments and run 3 to 4 vm's per iMac. The Air is used when I need to travel to a client's site to perform upgrades, etc.

I would like to do something better with all the ugly wires. My wife would really like it if I could make them disappear. ;)
