Can the people who have been able to pull up a tracking number using a reference number post the model?
FedEx offer the same type of reference search....wasn't able to pull anything up there either. I'm in Chicago.
My iPhone (16Gb At&t black) hasn't shipped yet but my friend's has (32Gb At&t black). Cool find.
Knowing whether yours is coming via UPS or FedEx makes a difference for some people. Based on what carrier has it, I have a good idea of when it will arrive. Besides, I like to be able to watch it's progress on Flight Aware. Not because I need to know where it is every second of the day, but I find the logistics fascinating and enjoy seeing how a company like UPS/FedEx structures its international operations. I don't do a lot of international shipping myself (at least via UPS/FedEx), so this is a rare opportunity to watch how everything works.
White 64 GB, AT&T (ordered through Apple). Last action was Order Processed: Ready for UPS at 9:15 pm.

Sweet! Mine just showed up on UPS. That means I'll be getting it hours earlier than expected!
Although we had a general discussion about commitment times earlier in this thread, if you want to know what your commitment time is, do the following:
1. Go to UPS.com and click "Shipping" then "Calculate time and cost"
2. Enter China, People's Republic of as the from country. Enter ZhengZhou as the from city and 450099 as the postal code.
3. Enter your City and Zip Code as the destination information.
4. Enter today's date as the shipment date.
5. Enter 50 (or some other small figure) for the customs value, it isn't relevant for what we're doing.
6. See what the time says for "UPS Worldwide Express." Ignore the date, as the packages will be held to the 21st.
Now, as a former UPS employee noted earlier in the thread, just because you have a commitment time doesn't mean that UPS can make that time. However, the will try their hardest, because if they don't, Apple is entitled to a full refund on the shipping charges for that package (which, even with the obscene discounts I'm sure they get, is pricey).
Now, if you want to see the process that your iPhone will go through on the way to the destination, go ahead and watch this:

While west-coast bound packages likely won't go through Worldport (they'll be offloaded in Alaska during a refueling stop and sent to a west coast hub), the video will give you a very good idea of how UPS sorting operations work.

If you ordered multiple phones with the same billing phone number, you'll get multiple results back when searching by your number as a reference number.
However, you can also search by the first 8 characters of your order number. e.g. if your number is W234567890, you would search by reference number for W2345678.

Yay! I found my tracking number. I'm stoked mine is shipping worldwide express maybe now there a chance I get it earlier in the day since ups says this method of shipping means delivery by 10:30 or 12:00. Usually my ups guy comes late in the day.
Interestingly my dad's phone is shipping next day air saver which show delivery by 3:00 or 4:30 according to ups.

Interesting how your order processed and & origin timestamps are later than mine, but your departure & arrival timestamps are earlier.

Question, everyone who is getting the tracking information ordered directly from Apple.com or also the ATT/VZ or sprint's website ?
I ordered at about 1:42 am on the 14th and am in California (Assume UPS) BUT I ordered directly from AT&T.
Still no tracking avail from UPS site. :-(
