Massive battery drain can be tied to location being on constantly, a stuck email in your outbox that keeps trying to send... You have to do some detective work. As others suggest, google for some troubleshooting steps.
With iOS 6 GM, I get about 7-9 hours of usage with about 1 day, 5 hours standby. Also, drain your battery once per month (to 0%), then charge it back up. You should be good to go.
I also leave Bluetooth and WiFi on all the time and I get far battery battery life with iOS 6 on my 4S. Jussayin!
My 4S battery is working normal. Do reset all settings or restore phone and set up as new.
And no, erase all settings doesn't erase anything just puts the phone back to factory settings. Erase all content and settings erases everything.

ConspiracyI'm a paid developer, so I've had it since June. And for my 4S and my iPad (3) I get far, far better battery life with iOS6. Averages out to 7-9 hours of usage for the 4S, and about 15-20 hours on the iPad. I'll post screens if you'd like to see.
This makes me excited to get iOS6 on my 4S tomorrow. Not that my battery is bad but if you're saying it's better with 6, then hallelujah.
