ok, so here is my issue...
My ibook g3, 800mhz, has a screen problem. The whole unit boots up just fine, the hard drive spins up and it makes the welcome sound, and I put in cd's and they play just fine, even out of the headphone jack. But, the problem is there is just no picture at all. I hook up an external monitor to the ibook via the jump cable and that also recieved no picture. The reel cable has been recently replaced, as of a few days (black wire was broken off). When I shine light through the apple on the back I can see through it and the image comes up, but no screen shot.

could also be a loose cable between the screen and the logic board...
I had that happen to me once, but it was cover under the apple logic board repair program even thought it techically was not the logic board...
