Just got the Clearplex shield and it rocks! Covers front and back of my new iPhone 5, great product! Highly recommend it. Keep touch glass feel and it looks great. For sure not going to buy Zagg anymore after having tried Clearplex. Sorry, but once you go clear you can't go back to sticky stuff! Will buy one for my iPad too!

I soooo dont understand like, you know.. what all the fuss is about. You know?.

I mean .. like ... you know .. its ooonly a case isnt it?.

Ok .. its not been thought out right .. so what?. Its like a Swiss Watch yeah?. Mmmmm. So dont they get scratched too?. They dont?. Not like the iPhone?.

Well look sonny .. its easy to sort .. just .. you know .. buy a case. Whatever!

Eh? The Maps were rushed out for the Keynote ... to give them something to say other than just a bigger screen?. Oh yeah .. so what .. really .. I dont know whaaat you're so .. like .. all ... het up about ..

Just install Google Maps or something .. easy ...

And the Panorama feature .. yeah ... it still has that .. tho' someone told me that theyve had programs like that for like ... uh .. .aeons ago ..

Anyway ... just stop whingeing yeah?. Just pay the nice man £600 for a phone and be thankful he even agreed to sell you one .. ok ..ok .. the operating system's a let down .. ok ok .. the Map and Flyover feature are obsolete on purhase ... fine ... what if the case isnt finished as tough as it should be .. its only a phone!

Not as if its some, Swiss crafted, aircraft grade aluminium and gorilla glass piece of technology from what was once the world's top innovator and class leader of ground breaking, trendsetting products it i? Honestly! Some people, people ...

:D

I just got my black one and it looks awesome. I was on the fence about black vs white, which was only exascerbated by all the scuffgate nonsense. But one look at the black and I knew I had made the right choice. I take care of my phone, so I'm not concerned about it getting scratched. Both phones will get scratched if not cared for. The black just looks better. Much better than it does in pictures. And I think just the opposite for the white. It looks awesome in pictures, but in person, it looks, meh.

I always buy sparkling water, that way I know I have the best of both worlds when it eventually becomes still water. 2 for the price of 1 like ;) I see the black iPhone in a similar way, eventually it will become white :D ....bargain!

Scratching

Just to add my 2p - Mine arrived today with small scratches on the right out of the box. Looks like they chipped the anodised coating putting the screen in, and there is a small mark on the lower back too, by the glass section. I'm not going to worry about it, but it shows the coating is soft, and will chip over time.
Andy.

Lol, you are fool if you ever take in these trade in offers. EBAY rewards phones with no scratches. Looking to bank $300 for my unlocked i4 with 0 scratches thanks to this handy dandy old school Belkin cover.

I got 400 bucks trade in at Amazon for my 16gb 4S... best cash deal I found was about $375. I chose the credit cause I buy from Amazon all the time.

Ha. Oh what a beautiful design. Looks wonderful inside big clunk plastic case.:rolleyes:

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Actually, haven't decided if I'm going to get the big clunk plastic case yet this time. Seen some really cool bamboo cases, and some stainless steel ones. Hey there's even one made of titanium with a 24k gold do hicky on it and it's only $3,000.00!

Well, just the big clunk plastic case will be fine ...... :D

I knew this would happen when at Apple HQ the much tauted "forcefield" feature spec was dismissed during the initial design phase as being too draining on the battery and of course those wacky shock issues regarding unlocking.

Maybe in the next design cycle so Apple can protect iPhone 6 from everything.

I dont care what folks say about the new iPhone 5 being a rushed out model. It may have a scratch prone case. Faulty Mapping system. A connector that wont work with any of my other Apple gear and need a few thirty quid adaptors ... And?. Its got a souped up Siri now - that can book restaurants and things .. which I could never do myself before and.. and ... and a Panorama feature that I had on my iPhone 4 already ... yes, but its got the A6 over the A4 chip and Ive been told that its now really really qui....

(To be spoken in a Ray Winstone/The Sweeney cockney voice)
Oh no .. what am I sayin'? My wife's gonna kill me when she finds out! Six hundred nicker for a bladdy phone that dont work right?. Well love - its like this, see. I saw this advert on telly .. and was readin' all about it on Macrumors and they all seemed to think it was a good idea.
Yeah, yeah. I know theyre all a bit manic on there and will queue up for an iTurd if its got Apple on the side ... but it did seem like a good idea .. and well look .. it must be good .. look at all them people queuing outside O2 shop ..

Let me put this into perspective for you. Hypothetically speaking you own a small pawn shop, you are in the back and you come out to the floor and see a possible customer scratching a fine antique up with their keys, to see how durable it is. You let them go about their business? No. You take action, and in your mind want to punch them in the face.

Ohhh, OK. at the stores in my area the display models and demo models are not sold. I would assume at Pawn shops, at least from seeing on shows, the actual merchandise is on the floor.

maybe that's why it differs. I can understand if these are phones that people are buying that are scratched, then yes VERY UNCOOL. I was under the notion that these are for demo purposes. showing off the value or what may not be suitable.

----------

Will it scratch if nipple rings rub against it harshly ?
:D

what are you doing to your phone?

I don't think my phone has been that close to my nipple ring.

That's why I got the white one. I was second in line and everyone (even the girls) were getting black ones. I knew they would end up with big noticable scratches so I went white. The white's awesome and very classic Apple. Remember, Apple built it's reputation on white products.

I just hope my Prince Albert isn't too brutal for mine. :p

That's pretty disrespectful of the store display unit to start scratching it up like that.

Dont see it like that myself like. It shows perspective customers that the iPhone is easily damaged. Very easily damaged on the rear. Its a win for Apple anyways as people will no doubt look to purchase a case to prevent such easily imposed damage. Although I have been impressed with the front glass and its resistance to shock drops. Although that has nowt to do with Apple, we have Gorilla glass to thank fro that :)

lmao, i was wondering where you were going with that. made me laugh more than it should have..

I remember them being beige.

something wiggling inside my iphone 5 update

Hi All, so it definitely wasn't normal for something to be moving around when I slightly shake the phone. I took it to the Apple store and they were and said a few other phones have had this issue and said they'd like to keep the phone and have their engineers study it. I thought it could be a loose battery...what the heck else would make such an impact and wiggling? If felt like a card was moving when I shook it even little. They also said there was some phones coming back due to scuffing. They replaced mine and the new phone was solid!

Just got mine as well (iPhone 5 64GB Black). Has a couple of the nicks as shown on the forums. I usually sport a bumper with iCarbons skins so it won't bother me much. Will use the phone til Apple decides to release something regarding the issue.
