Do you have a separate tethering plan (2GB for $20/month)? I'm going to assume you have the unlimited data plan. If you were tethering with the unlimited data plan, how were you able to do so without jailbreaking?

I just bought a Verizon model for full price but haven't opened it yet.

If you're a Verizon customer with unlimited data, once you convert to a 4G data plan you can add unlimited tethering for $30/mo.

Basically, my line is unlimited everything - $150/mo.

i'm using the speedtest app and have verizon... it is varying greatly from test to test

10-15 mbps down 8-14 mbps up (berwyn, pa at the moment)

i used to have at&t hspa+ and only got like 2-3 down here which seems to be really low compared to what others post. there's no at&t LTE here

My Iphone 5 still says 4g? is it supposed to say LTE? I have ATT and live in Salt lake city

It should only say LTE if you are in an area covered by LTE. If not, you'll continue to see 4G ( or more properly, HSPA+).

If you have LTE it will say LTE I had to restart my phone after the initial set up.
I've been getting around 16-17 down and anywhere from 8-12 up. About 10 minutes outside of Boston.

Hope to see some Sprint results from Chicago now that they're starting to turn on the LTE network around here. If it looks like a strong start hopefully leading to an even stronger completion later this year I may jump ship from ATT for dat unlimited (and even pay $2 less!).

19 down, 12 up on SoftBank.

My home wifi is screaming though - 65 down, 49 up. It's about time the iPhone can take advantage of my 100Mbps fiber! :)
