Nice ads. Good job apple. Panorama and thumbs were my favorites. The i5 is the perfect size to me. It's not like Apple couldn't have made a bigger and wider phone. They chose not to for ergo reasons. I played with a GS3 today and man, not only is it too big, but all that plastic just feels cheap. Sammy was so concerned about trying to beat every spec they could that they forgot to ask themselves if they should.

A lot of good their specs did them...

It barely beats last years model, and the iPhone 5 sends the GS3 home crying to mommy.

I love'em!

The message, the style, the humor, and even the voiceover work.

Very well done Apple! Reminds me of the days of the fun iMac G3 commercials! :)

I'm one of the fanboys in the first group. I own an iPhone 5 and will continue to buy apple products for the foreseeable future. I do feel that some of the magic has left Apple for me though, especially in the Keynotes and the terse emails from Steve.

Agree with the terse email comment. Tim needs to tell somebody to shove their stupid opinion. (Please start with Gizmodo!)

Instead of Mac Vs. PC ads, we need some IOS Vs. Androids ads :D

That would be confusing. To the vast majority of consumers, there's the iPhone and then there's everything else. They don't know iOS from Android from Lost in Space. Apple would lower itself by directly comparing itself to Android when Apple is in a leading position. You do the Mac vs PC stuff when you are scrappy and fighting to grow your brand. But when you're the big boy on the block, you don't lower yourself to comparisons with lesser products. You trumpet the strengths and special features of your own product.

Samsung, by comparing itself to the iPhone and also by making fun of iPhone owners, is basically admitting that the iPhone is the one to beat. Samsung ads show a sense of desperation. Apple's ads exude confidence.

Nice ads but not too great...Seen better ones from Apple. Have they hired a new ad agency or something?

I didn't mean to come across as pretentious, they are certainly far better than Beats or Bose which produce highly processed sound, $29 is a little steep.

So they are way better than $150 headphones, but at $29 they are a little steep? So... a better price would be $.32?

Exactly what I was thinking!

The new commercials are strange...only one of them shows off the iPhone 5's screen...the others show off the ear pods and software

Not really crazy about these ads...

Also, I think John Krasinski would do a pretty good job with the voiceovers of Apple commercials. The current guy's voice is kind of annoying.

GOD NO! I HATE whatever commercials he is doing now, soooo annoying.

The thumbs commercial is moronic. It's just Apple trying to justify having a tiny screen still. Guess what, Apple, not every has the same length thumb. Stop screwing around and give people a real screen. And LOL at Maps. Hahaha.

The one I did enjoy was the 'cheese' ad. I could see that one being a hit with moms and the like. Well at least with the women in MY family. They'll probably flock to upgrade their iPhones, if they haven't already.

Apple makes 2.5, 3.5, 9.6, 4.0, 11, 13, 15,17,21,27 and 30 inch screens. If Apple wanted to make a sub 5" screen they certainly could. A 4.0" screen was the perfect compromise. Some of us use our phones with one hands. We have iPads for when we want to use two.

As an iPhone 4 owner I don't get a 'must buy' feeling when I see the ads. Even not getting curious.

Specially the headphone one, seems very few people use Apples supplied ones anyway, I use Sennheiser CX50 and would unlikely to even unpack them.

Panorama pictures, there are apps for that.

Laws of physics - stuff is getting smaller all the time for the last 30 years. iPhone 4 is thinner then 3 I guess. Nothing new.

Samsung still burned Apple with this one:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nf5-Prx19ZM

The Samsung ad is moderately funny, but way too long. IMHO the message gets lost in too much information, plus can't see the the phone clearly.

I think generally these are good ads -- about as good as they're going to get considering the general lackluster of iPhone 5 & iOS 6 -- but the physics ad really comes off as patronizing. It has this attitude of, "Don't worry ignorant little consumers, it's bigger and thinner. That's crazy! Like I don't know, physics is weird! But don't think about it, just buy it."

God. These just keep getting worse. Things quickly changed for Apple after Steve left. And not in a good way. Their ads used to be elegant. Now- just stupid.
