I have this problem. My iPad 2 and 4s test quite a bit higher than my iPhone 5.

WiFi is is perfect on my version, iPhone 5 64gb White UK version.

My broadband speed is 100mb down and 10mb up, my router is a Netgear WNDR3700. the iPhone connects using the 5ghz frequency.

Here is my current result on WiFi using WPA2 AES.

So..... Speedtest.net is showing 0.46MBPS on my iPhone 5, but the actual internet speed seems fine... I didn't actually notice anything until I saw this thread. I think this is just something wrong with Speedtest.net....

Webpages load just as fast as they did before...

Buying a launch iphone/ipad and not expecting issues is like saying you're not expecting the Warcarft servers to completely crash tomorrow night.
It happens every time! Its part of being on the bleeding edge.

Mine works as advertised. Smokin fast.

BTW, on average using LTE is twice is fast as any wifi so far. Like I said... It's smokin fast.

I have not tried switching to WEP and testing. Anyone confirm this works?

Connection with WPA2 Networks causes the WiFi to not work at all on my iPhone 5.

This is a real problem, and quite annoying. However, another family member has an iPhone 5 as well, and does not happen to theirs. It is not with every phone.

I'm having slow wifi speeds with all of my iOS devices since iOS 6. My MacBook on the other hand gets ten times the speed on the same network.

I have the black 64GB iPhone on Sprint and my Wi-Fi speeds are extremely fast.

Thanks to the A6 processor, Safari is about 3 times faster on my iPhone 5 than on my iPod touch 4G.

I can confirm this. I'm getting roughly 2Mbps down and 50 Mbps up on my iPhone 5. My iPad in the same spot gets 5Mbps up and 45 Mbps up. So it is half the speed of my iPad. I tried this 5 times.

For reference, I was able to obtain 12 Mbps down and 45 Mbps up on my MacBook Pro.

Seems to be fine here on my white iPhone 5 16gb. Here are my results. 3 times on wifi and 3 on LTE.

question for you guys......

Looks like I have a wifi issue. would it be a good idea to wait until the final few days of my warranty so I can let some new batches come out?

It is most likely a software issue. I would wait till Apple releases 6.0.1 or later with a hopeful fix. You'll have at least a year to exchange it with Apple.

Uh, actually, I think this is a problem with Speedtest not being compatible with iOS 6... because my 4S just gave me this:

My iPhone 5 gave me this (even though when I tested, it's loading faster than my 4S)

But my iMac gave me this, and yes, I know, Canadian ISPs suck:

I think we're overreacting folks...

I think this is it. I have Cox internet, and my Macbook and iPhone 5 test with different servers and with different providers. Some glitch is happening.

Having issues since we upgraded to iOS 6. iPod, iPhone 4 and 4s are running slow or not showing any connection to wifi. It is as if the lights are on, but, no one is home. To be fair I do live out in the country, but, we do have "hi speed" internet here.

I'm having a similar issue. My iPhone 5 is getting about 1.8Mbps whereas my iPhone 4 on the same wifi network is getting about 10Mbps. It is secured with WPA2. I haven't tried without it yet.

Both were tested using the SpeedTest app on iOS 6.

EDIT: When using a different app (Speedtest X) I get about 20Mbps on each.
