Use technology similar to that used in Pigeon-guided missiles, or PGM for short. Check it out .. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Pigeon

Half the time I'm using the compass feature, I have to move the phone in a figure of 8 motion to calibrate it. Thanks for making me look like a retard, Apple.
That's what I'm talking about. The 5 hasn't asked me to do that once. It's not jumpy, it works smooth, seems accurate.
That's why I'm asking what changed internally to make that happen.

I don't know much about this, but maybe the interference that's spoken of in this context would be reduced because of the iPhone 5's metal case. It's the first iPhone since the original iPhone to have so much metal in the case (at least that's the way I understand it).
