Gmail Notification Center Bug?

I am using mail.app for my Gmail and iCloud accounts. When I get an email with iCloud, notification center acts appropriately. With Gmail, however I get 2-3 notifications for one email (the same email). I have tinkered with all the settings I can to figure this out. I'm hoping someone can help me out on this, as its rather annoying. I have included 2 examples.

I'm unsure about the iOS doing that. I am having the problem within Mountain Lion's Notification Center.
