******s and peas with orange chips, surely?!

Damn forum filters.

Was trying to attach an image, but most include the word ******s!

Anyway, nice to see the event on AppleTV - hope it shows the recorded event later as I can't watch it at 18:00

A few people seem to be getting miffed that its only on AppleTV. Apple has a few hours to announce live streaming on the web. For all we know the AppleTV update might take some time to go live on all devices. We still have over 5 hours to go. Keep calm and stop carrying on.

No Apple TV here so I'm genuinely ignorant on the matter: does it have/support Bluetooth keyboards at least? I've tried Bing on Xbox 360 when I first got in the beta program and never used it after the first time. Aside from the inconvenience of relatively small font on a big screen far away, it was a nightmare to navigate with the controller, let alone using it to "type" things in.

Perhaps the new Mini will have a renewed Front Row interface and be a smarter Apple TV?
You can use the remote app from Apple to control using your iOS devices

This is excellent! I really liked the last time when they livestreamed the event. Otherwise I never can resist to watch liveblogs (like the Verge), which also kind of ruins the keynote for me.

I have Apple TV, but I hope they offer the stream for others too.

Leo Laporte will be live streaming with the Apple TV today if they don't post a link. Twit.tv is for twit TV live stream. They are the best!

I was thinking of running out and buying an :apple: TV, but knowing my luck they would announce a new one today if I did :)

Surely even if apple doesn't, SOMEBODY will capture the apple TV video and rebroadcast it live? If I know anything about the internet it's that somebody somewhere will make that happen for me :)

No doubt someone will. All they have to do is prop up a camera on a tripod.

This is genuinely funny.

Stupid decision. Most people are at school/work during that time and don't have access to an Apple TV and a real TV. Who are they streaming to, really?

While there are slivers of truth to what you said, you're missing the point. There are a lot of people this is going to and it's a big deal either way. And streaming this to your Apple TV is really no more inconvenient for owners of apple TVs than it is to get on some blog.

Seems likely that they'll steam through apple.com also, but it obviously doesn't need a heads-up like Apple TV does.

highly considering not watching the live feed so when I see the actual keynote, I can be surprised on what's officially announced.

This is what Apple TV should be.

buy an iphone, install the apple store app to buy a macbook air
buy an ipad, install the bookstore app to read steve jobs' biography
buy an apple tv... and watch them reveal a new ipad? yo dawg...

lol. I did the first two and thinking of doing the third on the list? :)

If they are streaming anywhere live, there will undoubtly be restreaming all over the internet on various services.
