Apple follows release Windows on Mondays and Wednesdays. While I cannot track releases of every Apple OS / software, I do know that in the history of iOS they have only ever released on a Monday or a Wednesday - standard operating procedure afaic !

OSX 10.2 -10.6 were all released on Fridays.

iTunes 1.0, 2.0, 10.1, ect. were released on Fridays. With a ton of others on other days as well. Full list of release dates is at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ITunes_version_history. I'm not suggesting you waste all day plotting when the releases were, but they aren't just on Mondays and Wednesdays.

As much as I'd love to say that Apple has to release iTunes 11 before November 2nd, its not necessarily true. They could just quickly code up the iPad mini and iPad 4 support in the current iTunes, name it iTunes 10.7.1, and call it a day. I don't think they'll release an unfinished iTunes 11 for the sake of it supporting the 2 new iPads.

Fair enough, when I'm wrong I'm wrong. Well its not going to bother me if they release it today :) I'll discount 1.0 and 2.0...point releases can understand...but this one after the Maps fiasco...me thinks next week, or November

Question for you guys.. I was just looking at the preview page for iTunes 11 and for some reason I feel like they added a bunch of new preview images.

I have no recollection of seeing the "Bonus features" and "Preview history" screenshots. Entirely possible I just overlooked them, though.

Talking about here, of course: http://www.apple.com/itunes/new-itunes/
