My iPad 3 runs smoother and faster with iOS 6 than what it did with iOS 5 IMO.

How's the battery life with iOS 6? I keep reading that battery drain is worse than with iOS 5.

EDIT: I'm asking for my iPad 2.

My battery life seems a bit worse on my ipad 3 and I started this thread because safari is crashing a lot,and I have about 20gb free out of 28gb.Today I used safari like 10 and it crashed 7 times,so this seems for me like an ios error.

Yes the 4 is too. It jerks and stutters browsing sometimes. My 3 was perfect on 5 on 6 it stuttered and was notably slower. Even after several resets etc

iOS 6 is no slower on my iPad 3 than 5.1.1 was, and having used my 3 side by side with a 4 for 15 minutes in the Apple store, iOS 6 is no smoother on the iPad 4 than it is on the 3.

The only reason not to update to iOS 6 is if you want to jailbreak.

I think the iPad 4 was a rushed through project to get all their most popular iOS devices onto Lightning connector, why they couldnt have waited till next March I can't understand.

You mean Lightning.

Come iOS 7 and future games, the iPad 4 will eventually come into its own.

As I stated in other threads in the iPad section regarding the matter though, we won't see a massive leap for a good 8/12 months. For now the big games will have smoother frame rates and some fancy particle/lighting effects, but iOS has shown us over previous years that the latest generation doesn't come into its own straight away or quickly (graphically).

In my opinion the iPad 3 new was 100% smooth. I used to think so... Until I upgraded to the 4.
The problem with the Pad 3 is that it has the same performance of the 2 so it performes as though it was 1 year and a half old
