Using iPhoto (latest) in full-screen mode seems to hang when importing photos.

I find myself forcing the app to quit and then importing the photos via non-full-screen mode.

Are you finding the same problem?

Something is messed up

UPDATE:

Found an answer to the issues detailed below. There was an empty folder with a bunch of numbers and letters for a name lurking in the Auto Import folder inside the iPhoto Library package in my Photos folder. Removing this empty folder solved all my (iPhoto-related) problems.

ORIGINAL POST:

Not the same, but perhaps a related problem.

OS X 10.8.4
iPhoto 9.4.3

If I have iPhoto active in full screen mode and switch away from it then back, it exits full screen and goes into 'importing photos' mode - but there are no photos to import. I have to force quit to make the 'phantom' import stop. This happens regardless of whether or not I imported any actual photos during a session.

If iPhoto is in standard window mode, switching the focus away from it and back to it makes the 'importing photos' window appear for a split second, then the view changes immediately to 'Last Import'.

This is something of an irritant, as you may imagine.

Did you ever fix your problem?
