Right out of the box, I'm happy that there are forums like MacRumors where an old curmudgeon like myself can come and learn. Thank you all ;)

I recently purchased an iPhone 5 and the Senior Adviser talked me into purchasing AppleCare Plus. I had AppleCare on my late 2006 24" iMac which paid for itself after I lost a HD. In fact, Apple sent out a technician to replace the drive as I have a difficult time getting around.

My question is, was this a worthwhile investment on my iPhone 5? Also, what have your experiences been with AppleCare Plus, positive or negative?

I've not had firsthand experiences with AppleCare+, but I've only heard good things about it.

AppleCare for the iPhone and iPad is apparently a great deal - it covers accidental damage, so water and drop damage no longer results in paying full price for a replacement phone.
