Do they still have 100+ Billion? After all... their stock is plummeting
I think it's wonderful that they're donating. But 2.5 Million seems like pocket change. How about 50 million?
This is disgusting. 2.5 million for a company that has 100 plus BILLION in CASH! All you people saying its nice of apple have no logic for money and how much apple is really worth. You are talking about one of the biggest disasters in US History and apple throws a little 2.5 million dollar check on the table and says "ok we did our part"
Like someone mention earlier this is pennies. It's almost sad in the sense that most of the people who were effected own apple products and the best apple can do is 2.5 million? Yet they spent 3 BILLION to bail out Sharp a non US company?
Sorry guys you won't find a bigger fan of their products as me but their business motto and how they are starting to operate is really getting annoying.
uumm..... if my stock was dropping this fast, I would spend my money and make something happen... not just keep it in the bank and keep my products stale... a 5 year old OS and 100+ billions isn't going to help your stock recover
Shame the money didnt go to a much more deserving causes.
Why not $500 million?
$2.5 million is better than $0. Regardless of the amount, it's the act of donating that should be praised.I think it's wonderful that they're donating. But 2.5 Million seems like pocket change. How about 50 million?
this is like me or you giving a beggar a few pennies, id have been impressed if it had 2.5 Billion with a B..
I think for a long time Apple didnt give much. .
You want to build a wall on the Atlantic coast and gulf coast.
"This is 2.5 million in case something goes wrong......."
Possibly, but in that case it's odd that Samsung's announcement came out 4 days before Apple's.
Not sure what you're asking (perhaps you didn't read the quote). My post was in response to Frayne's hypothesis that Samsung's $3M donation was a response to Apple's $2.5M. Kudos to both companies for supporting the region - but the timing doesn't seem to suggest Samsung is copycatting here.
To the folks comparing it to the $2 billion they gave Sharp -- that's completely different. .
I was fully expecting to come into this thread and see a comment like this. *shakes head*
