Ok, I know I'm way behind the times but a new iMac will be coming in the next month or two. I edit a one hour church program every week recording on a nNovia digital recorder.
It takes FW-400 for the input. 6 pin.
Will I be able to get from TB in the new iMac to FW-400 using adapers? Thanks.

You'll have to use Apple's Thunderbolt to FireWire 800 adapter with a FireWire 800-400 adapter.

The "800-400 adapter" is just an inexpensive cable with the proper connectors on each end. I've bought several from monoprice.com, and they all work fine.
