Hi,

I have a 2011 MacBook Pro. It has recently just started turning itself off after around 30 seconds to 1 minute of use.

I have tried resetting P RAM and SMC and have also tried a different HD in the machine.

Please help!

You dont have an Apple store near you? Best just to take it to an Apple Store or Authorized Service Center.

I have an Apple Store nearby.

In your experience, do you think they can tell me EXACTLY what is wrong with the machine without charge?

Or will I have to pay for a diagnostic?

Always been under warranty? Your warranty out? Call Apple and ask also.

Make an appointment, they'll at the very least take a look at it for free. If it's easily diagnosable, they'll probably diagnose it and then give you options for repair.
