16G wifi only

I use it pretty much at home with wifi since it seems awkward to bring to office. though, i miss it a lot during day time.

For the first time since the iPad's debut, I have WiFi only. I'll be using AT&T personal hotspot when I need to connect away from WiFi.

32gb wifi. I cancelled my order for the cellular model because I really don't need it. My mifi can handle my occasional cellular needs.

I got the white, AT&T cellular, 64gig model. I transferred my unlimited data plan from my first gen ipad to it, and now use it to make & receive free VoIP calls & texts with my google phone number. It's like a big smartphone. In fact, I ditched my phone! ;-)

This thing is the perfect size btwn an iPhone & an ipad. LOVE it! ;-)

I hope you're not an economist. Then again, given your logic, you probably are.

With AT&T MobileShare, a cellular iPad is $10/month.

Wifi

I paid £10 for 12 months unlimited data. But I can only tether in an android handset. I would have to pay £15-£25 a month for proper tethering contract that would allow me to hotspot in a iPhone /iPad so just didn't make sense to get the LTE iPad.

I've had an iPad 1 for years with 3G. I wouldn't bother to have one if it wasn't for this connectivity; that's what made these units unique and practical. I just have the data plan turned on and off for the months I need it (Summer mostly). I have a remote cottage that has a good cell signal.
Perfect for motorcycle touring.

Same, having an iPad without cellular connectivity seems pointless to me. It's all well tethering it to a phone, but you're constantly worrying about the battery going dead.
