I guess that guide I found is pretty out of date.

Pretty much all the time, only plug it in overnight... So far, 13 days using my new mid-2012 cMBP, I discharged my battery 10 times I'm not even worrying about, yet... I'll probably get Applecare before the one year warranty expires, if my battery charge sucks later on.

117 cycles mines at, 88% health according to coconut

Still have 97% to 98% after 2.5 Years

My first Mac was an early 2010 17" MBP. I have about 375 cycles on it and I do run it down to about 10% before I fully recharge it. I fully discharge it once a month to recalibrate the battery meter. According to Coconut Battery, I am still getting between 97-98% of it's designed capacity. Not bad at all!

Purchased August 6, 2012. 3.5 months old

p.c. convert this year, I charge to full capacity when possible

then run on battery until last 20% or lower


I have found the thunderbolt -hdmi cable to t.v. runs the battery down VERY quickly even when watching less than 2 hours t.v.

Now that I'm out of school probably once a week.
