Does it still switch off Wifi when the device is in idle, or are they fixing that with this release?

For me, the problem with passbook (aside from little support) is that you have to have an app like the Costa's already downloaded.
I don't want apps to clutter my phone so was hoping I could just download the passbook bit, but nope have to download the app as well.

Maybe it will improve in the future

There are many sites that offer Passbooks you don't need the app just visit the site and download a passbook.:

http://www.cuopons.com
http://www.passsource.com
http://passkit.com
https://www.passtools.com
http://passdock.com
http://www.passpages.com

Some of the sites like Passsource allow the creation of passbook passes from your plastic cards.

People. The "Safari is snappier" joke was never funny...and it's certainly not funny after the eighteen-thousandth time, either.

If only passbook would be supported by more apps :/ and have more uses.

Check the Passbook wiki page. It has a good list of Passbook apps and website support.

It looks like Virgin Atlantic added Passbook support today.

Go to the wiki page I linked above. I see a significantly longer list there.

I don't know about everyone else, but all of my iOS 6 devices suck with Wifi (iphone 4s, ipad 4 and ipad 2)
Starbucks Wifi won't work - the splash screen that you need to click 'i agree' on often wont pop up. I'd have to turn the device off and on.
Wifi hotspot plain stopped working. works fine on iOS 5.

Yup. My wife and I have this issue with our iPhone 4s (that's two iPhone 4 models, not the 4S model).

Starbucks, Tim Hortons, McDonalds... Basically any free, public wifi often requires power cycling to connect. No issues at all on our home wifi network.

I notice this with the gizmodo website. Every other website for me works fine. What sites in particular have this issue?

I think sites with an auto refresh have this issue... On my phone it works for all websites except the cricinfo website where the a part of the page auto refreshes every 2 minutes... This happens on chrome, I havent tried to replicate it on Safari...

I hope that they get rid of all traces of skeuomorphism soon, hopefully before iOS 7 comes out.

Question is does iOS 6.1 fix the sticking on 'no service' bug (iPhone 5) that was allegedly fixed in 6.0.1 but certainly wasn't for me, my wife or loads of people on Apple's forums.

It's really annoying having to cycle airplane mode to get a network back when it happens.

I am a developer but not had chance to install it.

NO need!

"beep beep";
"Turn on bluetooth"
siri- done!

"I'd like to, Dave but I cannot. My apologies"

Disappointed - both that you can't actaully use siri for something so obvious and also because my name gives the perfect excuse to come back with

"I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that."

When Safari ran on 10.2 it was dead dog slow (as was 10.2). Things didn't really improve until 10.4 when Safari got snappier and people have been thankful of that ever since. Personally I think 8 years of a lame joke that is still active is commendable.

G5 Powerbook, anyone?

We had the same problem. Took it to the Apple Store and it was replaced on the spot.

Wi-Fi Fix iPhone 5??

will there be a fix for wi-fi issues with iPhone 5? I had to change my router security from wpa2 down to wpa just so it will stay connected. This was confirmed through apple tier 2 support.
