For those who have ordered an ipad mini, have they been generally coming earlier then the original estimated delivery date?

I'm heading home from college for the holidays and need to know which address to ship to.

Thanks!

FWIW, I ordered my daughter one on November 25th. The estimated shipping time was 2 weeks. It's scheduled to arrive on 12/5...

I ordered a 64Gb Mini, verizon, black on Nov 26.
I paid for 2 to 3 day shipping.

Order Date Nov 26.
Orginal Date was Dec 14th.
Shipped on Dec 1.
Projected Arrival Dec 5 4:30
In my hands 1 hour ago at 1:00 CST on Dec 3.

My personal suggestion though is to send it home, I would rather not have it a few days. Than not have it over xmas break

I think there's more of a wait with the 16GBs, I also ordered on the 26th for delivery on the 17th and mine is still processing.

You still have to wait?

I went to the apple store this week and got a mini. No ordering, no waiting. Just got it from the many sitting there.

Went back the next day for a question about our iPad 1 (getting rid of the 5G "other"? they wiped it) and saw mini after mini just waiting for sale. And then they carried out about a dozen more. Had my choice of color and size.

Same here. I originally ordered online and was mildly annoyed by the 2-week ship time. Went to the Apple store the next day and walked out with the exact model and color that I wanted (cancelled my online order, of course). They had a bunch at their express shopping table or whatever it's called -- granted, those were mostly the WiFi + cellular ones, so I guess you could luck out depending on which version you're looking to get.

My advice is to stop by your local Apple store (if you're close to one) and check out what they have in stock before placing an order online.

I ordered on Nov 25 and had an expected delivery date of Dec 17. Just received a shipping notice this morning; Apple estimates Dec 10 but FedEx's tracking says Dec 7.

Ordered a white 16gb/wifi version on the 28th. Says deliver date 19 Dec.

UPDATE: Looks like my order was processed on December 7th and shipped from Shanghai, I should receive it on the 13th.
