Well as I said its my first Mac. So I'm not sure of the limitations it's old so probably just emails, web etc..

Thanks I will buy some right now :)

It can handle even more. I just edited a full HD 1080 video with iMovie and encoded as 1080 HD video in less than 20 minutes. Not so fast but it was easy :)

I got my 2GB RAM (2x 1GB sticks) from NewEgg for $50 and it shipped same day and worked perfectly.

Don't think so little of your PowerBook. It's a great machine that can handle a lot more than just emails. Enjoy it.

A friend gave me a PowerBook g4..
1.5 ghz with 512 ram.. Anyone have recommendation for a site selling ram? I just upgraded the os to 10.5.8 runs ok.. However I can tell it really needs the ram.. Thanks

Congrats! :D I too just got a Mactop, an iBook G4 1.42 maxed out with 1.5 gigs of ram.

Newegg is great, and OWC ( Other World Computing ) specializes in Mac stuff.
