Hey fellas, looking to buy one soon. Just a question, is the ssd on the aftermarket faster than the flash ssd which is found as stock? If the aftermarket ssd's are faster, which is the most faster around in the market [e.g. samsung, etc.]? Can you link me to them. Thanjks

The only aftermarket SSD upgrade available for the 2012 Macbook Air is from OWC, and it is no faster than the stock SSD. The only reason to buy the OWC is if you need the larger capacity. Also, the OWC will not have native TRIM activated.
The chart above lists Toshiba and Samsung because those are the OEM drives Apple puts in the Air. Neither is available new for purchase.
I would just order the Air direct from Apple with whatever size SSD you need.
That is incorrect. OWC is NOT the only aftermarket SSD upgrade. You can find OEM Samsung/Toshiba SSD online if you look. OWC is not the only option available.

Ah.... I was not aware anybody was selling the OEM drives new.
I am aware ever since the Airs came out one could buy a used (pull) from eBay, but I was referring to a new aftermarket purchase. Good to see somebody selling those.
