iPhone 5's First Weekend Sales in China Top Two Million

Except usability, web browser speed, app responsiveness, cameras, app selection, game selection. You know... Things that are not at all important.
But don't let reality get in the way of a good Android fired Apple hate.
Could someone post for how much is iP5 being sold in China and the terms? Are they pretty much similar to US, 2 year commitment and about $200?
You should not say any bad thing about them because Apparently defending Apple is considered trolling and behaving like sheep, but trashing Apple in every post is acceptable.
Go figure.
Those carriers are going to take market share from China Mobile. This was the experience with AT&T during the iPhone rollout and exclusivity. It doesn't matter one wit the exclusivity away from China Mobile is self-imposed.
China is about to experience an example of the free market working against entrenched interests. Put that on You Tube.
BTW Android users buy more contracts and have more devices but have 1/10 the data usage. Great for networks! Bad for users.

iPhone 5 is a bust in comparison with analysts expectations and stock is way down from $700+ mostly because of that. It s not absolute numbers that matter, but relative performance! Citi just downgraded, stock should go more down

Many, many years ago, people like Dell felt Apple should fold: Apple had only 2 percent of market share.
But Steve Jobs was not concerned. He noted that Microsoft had 95% of market share.
Steve Jobs said it would be easier for Apple to double its market share, than it would be for Microsoft to double its market share.
Likewise, if Apple sold "only" 2 million in a country with 1.3 billion people, look at the potential. In the meantime, Apple has 45% margins on 2 million more iPhones sold. This really is quite incredible.
I see a problem with current estimates for this coming quarter.
This is an idea of a realistic Iphone 5 estimate.
September 21-30 (200,000 per day) = 1.8 mil
October 1-31 (250,000 per day) = 7 mil 750k
November 1-30 (400,000 per day) = 12 mil
December 1-31 (400,000 per day) = 12 mil 400k
January 1-21 (300,000 per day) = 6 mil 300k
Assume 11mil from initial weekend release globally

51 million 250K
+ 9 mil 760k IPhone 4S

61 mill 10k iPhones total.
For the heck of it, I'll assume they sold 80k iPhone 4S per day continuously as It seems very realistic.
Am I missing anything? Anyone know of any website that has an idea of what production capacity is at Foxconn? Since supply issues were settled around early November, I am assuming 400k per day is capacity. These number seem very conservative, especially since Apple sold about 385k per day in May Quarter. With the expanded global rampup and current first weekend sales figures being 50-100% higher than prior records, I have a hard time believing the record from 2 quarters ago is as high as they can get.

Citi downgrades Apple while Morgan Stanley says iPhone sales are still very strong and Apple could sell 50m+ this quarter. These clowns really don't have a clue do they.

3G contracts in China start at $7 a month for 150mb 50min and go up from there with the most expensive plan costing $140 a month. Anything you use in excess of that costs $0.05 per MB and $0.025 per minute. Text messages are usually free on contracts.

Fandroids are like Ron Paul nuts: they've infested the Web and they never shut up.
Apple will have its best quarter ever and the stock will still plunge. Its almost as if at some point they'll have more cash in the bank than the stock value of the whole company.

On the other hand... I've heard that Apple's addressable market in China is only 400 million customers.
That's 1/4 of the population of China. In other words... 3/4 of the population in China cannot afford $800+ iPhones.

I had some FedEx stock once. The analysts downgraded it and urged to sell. It went up 30% as I held. Apple's stock was supposed to hit $1000 by now. I think they're called analysts because they pull stuff out of their butts.

Yes, but probably 20 - 50 million upper middle class families, 300+ million middle class families. There's a lot of buying power in China - more than some countries like Canada!
