It's an overpriced item for it's specs. The Nexus 7 beats in every way hands down.
Sorry I thought MacRumors would be a site mostly for Apple fans. These days it seems to be a site mostly for Apple haters. Or people who think they're superior to others because they're an "informed consumer" with no biases (yeah right). "Informed consumer" aka anti-Appe pro-anything else.
Those carriers are going to take market share from China Mobile. This was the experience with AT&T during the iPhone rollout and exclusivity. It doesn't matter one wit the exclusivity away from China Mobile is self-imposed.2 million out of a population of 1.35 billion, doesn't look impressive... but it's a huge number. Now if they could get the phone on China's largest network that has close to 500 million subscribers.

That's ok. 140 million android devices yield about the same profit than 2 million iPhone (not counting iPads here).
It s a miss and will be read this way.
iPhone 5 is a bust in comparison with analysts expectations and stock is way down from $700+ mostly because of that. It s not absolute numbers that matter, but relative performance! Citi just downgraded, stock should go more down
Could someone post for how much is iP5 being sold in China and the terms? Are they pretty much similar to US, 2 year commitment and about $200?
of course Apple should have the same amount of sales, because there is no difference between [a huge variety of] Android phones that cost $80 and a company that only sells expensive high-end smartphones like Apple.Boomish said:Android has over 140 million users already!!!
God this site is going to the dogs with all the anti-Apple trolls here.
This is gonna be a killer quarter...

Time to update your stereotype.
I can see the Wall Street headlines tomorrow reading "Apple only sells 2 million iPhones in first weekend in China. Analysts projected sales of 3 million. Apple fails."

And most of the Chinese population live in conditions like this:
So 2 million the first weekend is fine considering their addressable market.
That's 1/4 of the population of China. In other words... 3/4 of the population in China cannot afford $800+ iPhones.
The iPad mini is a perfect example. It's an overpriced item for it's specs. The Nexus 7 beats in every way hands down.
