IOS 6.0.2 is out. How is the best way to update? Should I just do it over the air through my iPhone or is it better to download it through itunes and let it reinstall ios from scratch?

Over the air wont use up your maybe valuable time so that's the best option instead of turning your PC/Mac on & connect it, download, install, etc.

OTA over wired for small firmware upgrades.

Supposedly fixes the wifi issues, but it didn't fix the slow wifi speeds for downloading apps from the app store.

I updated over the air in just a few minutes. I plugged into power and turned off auto-lock for good measure though.

I seem to be getting better WIFi performance so far on my iP5.

I went to update the iPad 2 as well, however no update for that device available.

OTA? It was 58MB for me - so it forced me to connect to WiFi - which didn't work for me so I tried iTunes and it said it was going to take hours. Reset Network Settings so I'd get internet via WiFi for a few minutes before I lost it.... downloaded it in less than a minute (FIOS) - bam done. And yes, fixed my WiFi problems. Notice WiFi turning on 5x faster now when I turn on the phone and my no internet while connected to wifi issues GONE. Me happy. Yes.

Forcing people to connect to WiFi to download a firmware update that fixes WiFi connectivity. Well played Apple.

LOL exactly what I was thinking when I couldn't download it because internet over wifi didn't work. Major "......." moment.

Hooked up iphone to itunes on imac, and boom, one minute to download. Wait for it, wait for it. In less than one hour someone will start a thread on how 6.0.2 messed up their phone and ask how to downgrade to 6.0.1.

Since this is suppose to fix some wifi issues, I would suggest after installing to reboot wifi router and do a reset network settings on iphone.

updated to 6.0.2 , reseted network settings.

now my ip5 won't loose any packets when connected to an AES WPA2 network.

Happy camper:)

interesting note : until i reseted the network settings everything was just like at 6.0.1

Same old slow WiFi here at home. Reset network settings and still slow. My old iPhone 4, my wife's iPhone 4S and my Mini all have considerably faster WiFi speeds. This update did nothing for my iPhone 5.

It did nothing for my iPhone 5 that I can tell. I still can't join my router locked but can unlocked. Tried all security modes. None work. Set per apples recommendation. Still nothing. I just have to leave it unlocked so it will work.

My download speed had never exceeded 10 Mbps. After the update it was 30 Mbps which is what I get if I test on my MB Air.

Still the same crappy wifi connection. But now I get the bonus that it doesn't connect quickly after unlocking the screen, it takes up to a minute to reconnect. With 6.0.1 it would connect instantly after waking up the phone.

THANKS APPLE!!!!

What 6.0 jailbreak? The last real news was from way back on mid-November.

chk out post# 5-8. If/when a JB does come out, it'll be for ios 6.0, rather than 6.0.1 or 6.0.2. Unfortunately for me, i got my i5 with 6.0.1 outta the box. :(
Ppl with 6.0.1 or 6.0.2 or even 6.1 will again have to wait for the JB.
that's what i meant to say in my prev post.
