Greetings Macrumours

I'm not accustomized to troubling people on support forums but this problem really had me nailed. I can assess Facebook login page, and everything else, but when it has to deal with login, Facebook will have the message "Server return with no data" on chrome. I can't assess anything to do with Facebook. Facebook can be assessed with my friend's MBP running on Lion. On Firefox the display message is "timed out".

I have prowled everywhere online but can't find a solution. I have tried everything from reinstalling chrome/firefox/safari, tried all the DNS flush thingy, tried proxy, tried a different Wi-Fi operator, tried Ethernet, all return same results.

I have tried adding a DNS manually, tried changing MTU as suggested by one web site, firewall is never on, Little Snitch network filter is off. No other conflciting network activities. I suspected it to be a problem with Java or Flash but have played around with them too.

I have tried creating a new account, but same thing happens

I can log in on Bootcamp on Windows 7 - no problems.

I'm running late 2011 MBP 15", Lion, 10.7.5

What puzzles me greatly is that this can happen when I have not made any significant system changes.

Any advice is appreciated.
