Whenever I use IMovie 11 to edit videos I've taken and I go to "share" the video to YouTube or Vimeo, I get an error message "Sharing requires more memory to be available-Quit iMovie and re-launch"

Presently I have the following hardware:Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro8,3
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 6 MB
Memory: 16 GB
Boot ROM Version: MBP81.0047.B27
SMC Version (system): 1.70f5
Serial Number (system): C02H20T3DV11
Hardware UUID: CCE0CEDC-CBDE-587C-94F9-F5C16C85E777

Tried this yet?
Experienced the same problem tonight when trying to export a video intro I made in iMovie. Haven't used iMovie since I started using FCP X.

Definitely a bug after an upgrade or it may be related to Lion.

Anyhow, this workaround did work for me:

Relaunch iMovie and make sure the project are listed instead of having the project you want to export open.

Right click on the project and select export in the Project Gallery menu. For some weird reason, it will then export without the error message.
from "Sharing requires more memory to be available" when I have plenty available already, found via "Sharing requires more memory to be available"

PS: One thread per issue does suffice, even if no prior www search was conducted.
PPS: It is "iMovie" and not "IMovie".
