[...] Why is it such a foreign concept around these parts ? Why do we need to pick sides and "cheer" and "boo". Are you being paid or rewarded by your "team" ?
Lots of different troll tactics out there. Including the "Voice of Reason."
Seen it a million times. And I would guess that you have too.
Am I right here?
Sometimes trolls defend their bias by attempting to take the high road.
"Why can't we all just get along?" Boo hoo. Easy to see right through that.

"The wrong team" is a pretty subjective thing, man. Cheering for the Vols over Crimson Tide doesn't make you a disturbed individual, and doesn't require someone to study your psychological makeup to understand why you'd choose them over the other. [...]
I see your point. Free country. Knock yourself out. Yup.
But I still don't really "get" why people troll Apple sites so relentlessly.
Back in the late '90s / early '00s there was plenty of Apple Deathwatch (tm) trolling.
But that was then and this is now.
So maybe the reasons for all the trolling have changed. It used to be just haters.
Now it's a mix of haters and paid shills working for Microsoft, Google, and others.
Because there's real money at stake now. Not just a few million Macs a year.
Hundreds of millions of iOS devices a year. Competitors will fight that any way they can.
Might be fun to try and distinguish the paid anti-Apple trolls from the amateur "ideology" trolls.
