I just bought a 15 inch rMBP 3 days ago. About 5 minutes ago I opened up my computer and it took a few seconds to wake up, after it did the screen showed like a granite type pattern, red-ish brown, then it went back to normal. I wasn't able to take a screenshot of it since it happened somewhat fast, so I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or something similar. Should I take it in or just leave it alone? TYIA.
Also, my power settings for both battery and power adapter are set to computer and display sleep set to 10 minutes. enable power nap, slightly dim display, and put hard disks to sleep when possible are all checked. also automatic graphics switching is also checked.

If it doesn't happen again, or infrequently, or goes away after your Mac is fully awake, I wouldn't worry about it. If it happens frequently, let Apple check it out.

Kinda happened again but this time it was a flash of white then black again. Just noticed it happens after I've left it alone for a few hours. Once I start using it and leave it only for a few minutes, it's fine.

Not normal, take it back and have them replace with a brand new machine.
