That's pretty interesting. I wonder what will happen when your carrier releases an update though.

Imagine you had 13.2. You created a custom logo in 13.3 and then your carrier releases the actual 13.3. I guess you won't even notice there's an update available. :/

there's a blank icon as an option...and you can make your own icons.
brilliant, really; not just the effect, but the fact that people take the time to figure these things out, then create apps that do the work for us.

using NO icon rocks. take THAT, at&t! :D

Exactly what I want to do! Thanks! Can't wait to try this later.

Thanks for this thread, I found some O2 carrier files on another thread here and used them with CarrierEditor to change my O2-UK to the actual logo.

Looks smart, and I'm on 6.0.1.

This is the thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/996821/

You only need the white one, the blue one is no use now we're on iOS 6 and the gradients it uses in the taskbar. If you install the blue one, you'll get a horrible looking mismatched white/blue O2 when you pull down the NC.

Install the white O2 into box boxes in CarrierEditor. Good to go.

i'm still concerned to know what happens when a new "real" carrier update attempts to be applied to the phone.

as the phone thinks it already has v13.1 (for example), and a new "real" one becomes available that is v13.1, what happens?

also, what other info is stored in the carrier file other than the carrier logo?
does replacing the file using this app have any other hidden issues?

No success here

I want to get rid of the "Willkommen" text, maybe it's not a logo but TEXT, had no success in using a new created ipcc with carriereditor... though the carrier version number changed from 13.0 to 13.1
