Testing out my new 60D which arrived this morning. This nest was abandoned by Blackbirds a few weeks ago. The difference between this same shot taken with the same lens and settings on my old T3/1100D is really noticeable. I'm quite surprised actually by how much difference there is between the bodies in comparison shots I took this afternoon.

Congrats on your new 60D John...looking forward to see what you can do with it.

Mine for today...another Mallard.

Great Picture!
I notice you have a new 60D and a 50mm f/1.8 lens, coincidentally I am going to purchase these exact items soon. Can you give me a review of the lens and the camera? Can you also include information about any of your other gear or lenses (if any), and which lens you are going to purchase next? Here's the link
Thanks! :)

A handheld shot with my ghetto macro lens (28-80mm without the front lens assembly). The macro rails are on their way to me, but I couldn't wait to see what the 60D could make of this lens, even handheld... ;)

Definitely needs focus stacking to achieve much more detail though. I'll revisit this when the macro rails arrive.

60D handheld, ISO 400, f/13, time unknown exif says 1.3 seconds, but I don't think so!
