Fairly new Seaspan 95' Tugs... the Raven and Kestral built in Turkey with 5000 and 6500 bhp respectively... they are the largest tugs operating in the region and made their way across the Atlantic (and through the Panama Canal) on their own power.

Loved the colours on this image with a Virgin Australia B737-800, one of the new ones with the Boeing Sky Interior. This shot was done without a tripod.

This is probably the closest I'll ever come to seeing Mt. Everest. It's a lot easier to get to in Florida. :)

Shot this earlier today. For years I've been thinking about this as a subject, but never shot it. Still thinking I need to visit it at dusk or when the stacks are putting out smoke. Reminds me of the album cover of Pink Floyd's Animals--I almost expect to see a flying pig every time I drive by....

Wow Peter, you have a magic touch with the birds!

Taken the other day, I call it..

THE BUSINESSMAN

Salacious, when I saw the thumbnail for this I thought I understood your shot because of the businessman sitting in the left foreground. Then I viewed the enlargement and got confused, the only people in focus are way back on the right and one of them is with her back to us.

Who is the businessman?

I will point out that I don't have a degree in fine arts or analysing photo's, so I could well have missed the point. ;)

My first panorama, it's a 7 shot stitch that took a lot of forcing in Photoshop to marry up. I've got to learn how to use Hugin. I love that the guy on the path with his black dog appears twice! ;)

Testing out the new tripod. Did some Photoshop editing. I have Lightroom, just haven't gotten around to using it yet. Going to give it a shot once my new iMac 27" comes in :D.

May have gone overboard post processing on the blue but I wanted a surreal feeling since the original photo seemed kind of bland.

Also, here is a lovely birdhouse! :D

Another test shot from my new Belair 6x12 medium format film camera...

8343013645_86f6e9def3_c.jpg

I saw this camera and was interested but I didn't want the side effects of shooting "lomo". How do you find the sharpness, from your web images it looks really nice!

Curious to know what you think of my shot today.

I was shooting indoors and had to ramp the ISO to 1600 and compete with strong highlights from a window and I attempted to "fix" it all in post. I know quite a few members are opposed to this but I used it as more of an experiment anyway. I hope Doylem doesn't rip me to shreds!

So, if you can point out some of the flaws to the photo I would be very grateful. Just to say I was fully against the back wall so I couldn't get any further back and tighter but I should have tried standing on something to get rid of the bed post!
