I am new to this site & this is my first post, so please be kind. I purchased a Macbook Pro in 2011, I love it & up until now I have had no issues. However, this morning I turned it on and the date was incorrect (set back to October, 2011) and I started experiencing problems.

The best way I know to tell what the problem is, is through pictures.

Problem 1: It doesn't do this with all websites.. but most. Verizon, Paypal, Facebook, and Pinterest are a few that are doing this.

Problem 2: It does this EVERY SINGLE TIME I type a new address in the search field. The error message reads, " Safari cannot identify the website "www.paypal.com". " It will not allow me to do anything until I click on "Continue". Or I can click on "Cancel", but the page I am trying to get to will not load.

Reset the date to the correct date using the auto reset feature within Date & Time preferences and then restart the computer. Let us know if that doesn't work. I've had that issue before once.
