It would be amazing if Apple could launch new products and services in India and China in the first wave right after announcements alongside US, Canada and the UK. Maybe these negotiations will get them closer to that goal.

Meetings are not good news. In fact they are hardly news at all.
To break into the Chinese markets you'll need a "cheaper" iPhone . . . hence the news about a new iPhone to be released this year that is not an upgrade and made of plastic. I think its good business . . . regular Apple die-hards will still buy the premium phones, and with the cheaper phone they can tap into new markets and pull them into the iOS ecosystem. Once in the ecosystem, they'll make money with the app store and iTunes. Very simple really.
The big issue for Apple in China is NOT a cheaper iPhone. The issue is compatibility with China Mobile's unique TD-SCDMA digital cellular network; my guess is that Apple has been quietly testing iPhone 5's with a modified A6 SoC that directly supports TD-SCDMA, and as such a China Mobile-specific iPhone 5 will roll out some time in the Spring of 2013.
At least He didn't call Apple TV "a Hobby".

actually, I should have said "positioned", chairs facing the camera full frontal (instead of at a certain degree).
All I know is, he would dress in a suit when it was to his advantage.

The A6 SoC has nothing to do with the cellular protocol. The RF and baseband processing are done in other chips (Qualcomm's, et.al.)
Come on.. China Mobile is a nice addition if Apple can get them to pay up. But it is a way over exaggeration of the importance of China Mobile. China 3G market is very close to divided into 3 ways with China mobile in the lead. China mobile has been losing market share to China Unicom and China Telecom because of Iphone. Notice that China Mobile only has 37% of China 3G market at the end of 2012..So China Mobile's 37% market share is the "big issue" and more important than China Unicon and China telecom combined 63% market share? And there are at least 15-20M iphone user running on China mobile 2G network. China mobile need Apple pretty badly and if you go to any Chinese Iphone msg board, you can figure it out pretty easily..

China Mobile doesnt even have 3G. China Unicom and China Telecom are the only 2 that provide 3G in China.
