Silly question but I guess lte has a higher impact on battery life compared to 3G right?

I wish I had LTE here in Fall River, Massachusetts. But I did get to try out AT&T's LTE in Providence, RI last weekend and got 31Mbps/15Mbps. The HSPA+ speeds aren't that bad though, so I'm not too upset about the wait for LTE to be lit up here.

I get some pretty great DC-HSDPA in London,ON. View attachment 364602

Nice. Your download speeds exceed my LTE speeds in Manhattan (they are usually in the 10-12 range though I've hit as high as 16. My upload speeds are much better, though (usually). I usually get well above 10Mbps (as high as 18).

What's more impressive is the latency, though. It's actually generally improved for me over the week. The highest was 81ms, but I'm usually getting around 50ms with the best at 36ms.

AT&T LTE has been a bust here in both DC and northern Virginia.

I tend to get around 5 on HSPA+ and so far I've been testing LTE all week all over the place and it tends to be about 8 - 10.

I mean, that's better, but is it worth the battery life difference? I'm not sure it is.

I know this is an old post, but are you getting LTE yet? I haven't tested speeds, but my iphone 5 is showing me as connected to the LTE network in much of Fall River (especially along the waterfront like at Remy's) and almost all of Somerset. This is as of about a week ago. My phone even showed me as connected to LTE in Assonet. I assume it's creeping into the area.

I am! I started getting it about a month ago and have been consistently getting around 30mbps down. I love it!

I live an hour outside Philadelphia so AT&T hasn't fully rolled out LTE in my area. So I have LTE turned off and am on HPSA+ since I purchased the phone. I have no complaints at all.

At the iPhone hacks section.
Great LTE speeds and I dont notice much if any difference at all in battery if I leave LTE on or off.
Its not the energy hog people think because of other android LTE phones.
